Academic year passing policies

In each semester, the total points consist of (1) Class Activities: 20, (2) Midterm Exams: 30, (3) Final Exams: 50, in which, attaining 15 out of 50 is the least required to pass each final exam.

The passing policies for each academic year are as follow:

First semester: minimum passing points for each subject are 50 out of 100.

Second semester: minimum passing points for each subject are 100 out of 200.

Total: minimum passing points for each subject are 150 out of 300.

Dear Student and Parent,

Welcome to Tehran International School. TIS is a premier international school that is focused on teaching students to apply their learning in meaningful ways both inside and outside of our classrooms, in academics, the arts, athletics and service. We are so excited about how much our students will grow and all they will accomplish during this school year.

Students at TIS receive a highly personalized education with opportunities for enrichment, extension, and support to meet our applied learning goals. Students are able to meet rigorous learning objectives with the instruction and guidance of expert faculty mentors. As stated in the mission of TIS, our faculty strives to inspire a passion for learning and cultivate the competence, self-assurance, and creativity necessary for success in the global community. TIS students and graduates think critically, communicate effectively, and are creative and collaborative problem solvers.

In order to make sure that every student is able to realize his or her full potential at TIS, we use three guiding principles for personal conduct and decision making:

With parents and students, we always encourage direct communication with counselors and teachers. Our staff will provide every student with the support they need to realize their goals.
